Just wondering whether any other parents have cells stored there. If so, perhaps we can keep each other informed? Thanks.

I don't think the problem is are these samples frozen, it's where are all the records linking the stored samples to the person. I have been told by several people that this is the problem, so maybe you can ask her when you see her, although it's doubtful she will know where the records are if she left before the company before it closed. Apparently the directors haven't passed the computer records on.

Someone deleted my thread, which means to me that someone has something to hide or is not telling the truth. I have sought legal assistance and hopefully no one dare delete my thread.
By the way I have met the person who worked at Poole Hospital and am seeking legal counsel.

Just to give you a bit more piece of mind. My wife got an update where they stated 4 different companies where the tissues could be located. We were lucky as one of the companies was the company that we used for our second child. As we knew the reference number from Precious Cells they were able to locate the samples and I can confirm that the samples are safe and now that company connected the samples to our existing account. I can only say that HTA seems to be doing a really good job, both in terms of regulations as well as supporting when things do not go so well. Big thanks for that.

@mariusz That’s really helpful to know. Can I ask who contacted your wife? I’ve written to the official receiver with our details but never received a response.

Also do you know the name of the four companies?

Thanks in advance.

I have also had information samples are with BOC , Biovault, smart cells or one in Scotland. The owners of Precious cells made a agreement with BOC just in case of an eventuality and in 2016 it was Jordan Harvey who moved samples to Scotland when he was in charge with someone called Peter. In reality my source says Jordan Harvey, someone called Rebecca and all the Scottish staff were the problem. The London offices were ready to get the best certification from FACT a world wide body that audited them. My source says, The hospital staff and the London staff were always given good reviews, its Scotland where the problem was. London. My source worked at the hospital at Pool

Well, I have emailed again. Received an auto response acknowledging receipt of my email only to receive another email saying the email addresses have changed (.gsi. no longer used). Email resent, no auto-response on that email address.

The people who have received a response or more information, did you have to do this by phone?

Thanks in advance.

Hey - any news on this and any further information on how to retrieve the stem cell samples? I was told to write to [email protected] which I did but have not heard back.
Have not been able to get through to anyone at the Official Receiver.
Thanks

Hello all - just to say that I have finally managed to track down my daughter’s cord and tissue samples. The company that has her samples stored safely provided storage services to Precious Cells between December 2015-November 2017. Very happy to share details over PM.

There are only 4-5 companies in the UK that could have banked the samples for Precious Cells (the licensed companies are listed on the HTA website) so it is just a process of contacting each and eliminating until you find them.

Lonoxo · 25/10/2019 16:40

I've finally been contacted by the Receiver for the Government's Insolvency Service. The good news - they acknowledged receipt of all the emails I had sent. The bad news - without a PCI number, the samples can't be tracked (fortunately we do have the PCI numbers, I didn't know it then but it was supplied by a member of staff who probably knew she was being made redundant but wanted to make sure I had some documentation before she left, I will always be thankful for that). I have to say I found the tone of the emails very business-like and clinical. No recognition of the distress caused to us and how awful this situation is.

Does anyone know if there is somewhere/somebody I can lodge an official complaint with? I really do think criminal proceedings should be brought against the directors.

Thanks for this thread. I have used PCI in the past but not heard from them since 2015. Didn't think much of it though I should have. Was thinking of using them again and only now stumble on this thread.
So how has this all panned out so far please? I am to make the contacts you advised here. Not sure how to pm people so if you could contact me that would be great thanks so much
