Which birth pool to get?

Does anyone have experience of the Bassine birth pool vs the mini birth pool in a box? The latter is more expensive but has a seat... or is there another pool I should be considering?

Planning to buy one, would prefer inflatable so can use it as a large paddling pool afterwards. Don’t want a large one as I’m worried about how long it will take to fill and if we will have enough hot water.

Any advice?

Thanks!

I hired the mini birth pool in a box. Thought it was great when I used it although I didn't give birth in it thanks to little one passing meconium in the waters. But very sturdy - I thought the bassinet looked a bit flimsy by comparison but I had a friend who used (and actually recommended) that one, so I'd say it was probably down to your own personal preference really - if having the seat is enough to sway you then go for that, but if you're looking to save a bit of money, go for the other one. In all honesty, I just kind of floated and didn't really use the seat all that much, although it might have been a different story had I actually birthed in there.

The options you mention were not available when I had my water birth (18 years ago). I hired a pool and found that I didn't want to lie in it. I was much more comfortable with my body upright, so for me, the depth of the pool was more important than the diameter.
