Failed induction

Has anyone else had a failed induction? Currently 40+14 and had the 24hr pessary and two rounds of the 6hr one. None of which have done anything to me other than opening my cervix 1cm. They also tried to get in and break my waters but the other side of my cervix is firmly shut...Just wondering how common it is and what your experience was?

I was the same op (although 36 weeks due to pre eclampsia), 2 failed pessaries they did manage to break my waters but because I was only 1cm it really hurt, then put me on the drip and nothing, they turned it up to the maximum setting for a few hours and still nothing! At that point I went down for a c section, if that happens to don't worry I had a great experience with mine and it wasn't a rushed emergency one, we had the radio on in surgery and all very jovial with the staff, after 3 days of failed inductions I was just happy to have my DS. @corkspoppin omg same, trying to examine me to break my waters at one cm one side amd zero the other was friggin painful! Quite traumatised by it tbh! Having my c-section today as I'm now 15 days overdue finally on day 4 of failed induction.

The consultant came in to examine me and I think she was quite rough on purpose as I think she was trying to break my waters so they gave me gas and air for when they actually did it straight after that, honestly in my whole time that was the worst bit of pain so don't worry about the section. I was walking normally and doing stairs by day 5 and driving by day 10. I found making myself get up and go for a little walk just up and down the road in those first couple of days really helped. Also my scar is a thin line and healed no probs, stitch out on day 5.
So exciting good luck nothing beats that moment of them showing you your baby for the first time! I asked for my gown to be put under my shoulders so he could be slipped under easily onto my chest after they'd checked him over so I could get skin to skin.

Another failed induction here. Took 6 days until they admitted defeat and I had a wonderful caesarian section. Good luck!
