Will it be the same

Hello, I'm due in 3 weeks and really scared, mostly of anything going wrong but also the pain.
Last year we lost our first at 20 weeks, found out at the scan then they gave me some tablets to take and labour started about 48 hours later, took 12 hours and was awful, it was painful and I kept vomiting think due to codine , I didn't find the gas and air did anything apart from make me lightheaded.
Will this time be the same type of pain? I know it's difficult to say, but I'm really worried, obv he's bigger now so will the contractions be worse?
I'm aiming for a water birth but would love an epidural but as I can't grantee that I'm not getting hopes up, I'm worried about everything, and if he doesn't cry straight away. Just want to get it over with now . Thanks

I think it’s hard to say unless anyone was in your same position who had gone through that loss at 20 weeks.

I’ve had a mc at 13 weeks which was spontaneous. And then have given birth. Nothing alike. Birth contractions were far more painful and for lots longer.

But again you were a lot further along so can’t comment. I would imagine labour this time will be worse. So just maybe expect that an if it’s the same or better then least you were prepared.

Good luck! Hope it all goes well for you
