Hiya. I'm booked for a csec in 2 days on my due date.
I've had a very straightforward pregnancy.
This morning I was in asda with my 2 year old and got my first contraction. It literally stopped me in my tracks, I couldn't move and was bent over the trolley. It stopped after about 10 seconds (felt like longer) and I felt absolutely fine again. Exactly 12 mins later the same thing happened again, at which point I boycotted my shop and came home.
Since I got back nothing has happened! Now I don't know what to think. No waters have leaked etc, it was just those.

With my first I had a contraction which again was pretty unmistakable, the next followed 1 min later and again a minute after that and I was in full blown labour. I never had any of this "am I / aren't i"!
Does this mean that may well have just been it now and my csec weds will still be achievable?

Thanks for any advice

I had the same trouble last night! I’m 40+6 and had a swee yesterday, last night I had contractions for 5 hours all 10mins inbetween, woke up and lost my plug but contractions stopped, unfortunately these annoying and misleading Braxton Hicks means it’s just our bodies getting ready but on the plus side it softens and dilates our cervix most of the time, I had my first sweep 6days ahi and was closed and far back, yesterday I was 1cm and right at the front. So those pains I had last night may have put me up to 2cm who knows, just a waiting game but I’m booked in for induction Saturday !! Good luck x
