Anyone hypnobirthing after previous anxious births

I’m considering hypnobirthing. I have had 3 births 1st a week overdue and the usual long labour with epidural and suction and stiches. 2nd and 3rd induced. Took a long time to get going but once in labour very fast so no pain relief or any intervention. I can get through the contraction with my birth dance on all four rocking and it seems to work however once it gets to the stage of pushing i get into a bit of a panic which I know it’s not unusual especially when everything happens very fast but as it’s my last I would like to explore trying to work out how to stay in control even at the last stage.
Any advice appreciated thanks

I am! Although my first labour was actually a very positive experience- I'm hoping for the same this time!

I've been watching "the positive birthing company" on you tube- the lady Siobhan is amazing! The videos are all less than 5 mins long and she explains the whole process really well!

She does a digital pack as well if you want more in depth training or can't attend her classes.

Good luck! X

It’s great as long as you’re realistic about it. It can certainly help with keeping you calm and centred during a fairly straightforward birth.
What it CANT do is guarantee a straightforward birth - so if there’s a an issue that would have physically always needed intervention then it can’t prevent that.

As long as you see it as another tool in your armoury it’s great. Just don’t see it as a definite ‘if I do this everything will be Ok/if it’s not ok it’s my fault because I didn’t do...’

Thanks both luckily I have not had any problems apart from the slow labour first time around so I’m purely looking for more control over the very last bit of labour as I’m sure it is just an overall panic that comes over me. and I’m sure if it would be useful elsewhere too
