Hi all, just had my second child at 5.30 today... Successful VBAC apparently theres no tearing just some grazes... Ive tried to go for a wee twice since birth and oh my god lord does it hurt! ... So much that i just stopped peeing and cried instead... I even tried to wee in the shower using the hose to calm things a little but it still hurts just as much.... Wtf?

Congratulations :)I had this exactly and am anticipating it again any day now 😂 firstly, angle yourself almost 90degrees from the loo. As far over as you can manage, awkward but helps. But my absolute lifesaver was Sudocreme. Absolutely slather yourself down there, I found it creates a barrier and helps with healing. Also ask for a pad saturated with witch hazel, And make sure u rinse yourself off well after using the loo. And don't panic yourself - number 2's don't hurt nearly as much. 😀

Oh I remember this well! Be reassured that it doesn’t last forever and you will feel alot less sore quite quickly. I found the thing that helped me the most was to drink heaps and heaps so that my pee wasn’t so concentrated and it was less stingy. Didn’t get rid of the pain completely but definitely helped. You’ll be a lot less sore in a couple of days though so hang in there!!

Congratulation!!! Here’s my suggestions:

Sit on the toilet. Spread your legs quite wide and lean forwards as far as you can. As you start to wee begin to lean back. You should find a spot where your grazes don’t get splashed.

Use a water bottle with a squirty lid and warm water to rinse as you wee.

Take something that makes your urine less acidic like ural or citravescant?

Regular paracetamol and anti-inflammatory (if you’re allowed)

Ice every 3-4 hours for 10min for first day or so.

I wouldn’t advise putting sorbolene or similar creams on as it could promote infection.

Hope they help. It will get better Flowers

Mine was so painful as I had bad tears. Every time I had to wee I ran a warm very shallow bath and sat in it to wee. Also drunk lots of water so isn’t wee wasn’t too strong.
