Lube recommendations

Hi all,
Coming up to 38 weeks and aiming to do the necessary to help encourage baby to come out! But with little enthusiasm or energy for sex rn, lube is definitely necessary. Can we just use any lube (like durex) or does it have to be something like the versions which are safe when you're trying to conceive? Not sure what precautions are needed at this stage so any advice welcome!

I think pretty much any are fine once you’re pregnant. I favour Sliquid.

I believe the conception lubes just avoid containing certain thickening agents (usually plant cellulose) that inhibit sperm movement - obviously making it difficult for them to swim wouldn’t help conception!

Seriously having sex will not help your baby come. If you don't feel like having sex, don't.

And for those who will come on and say "it worked for us". It didn't, it was just a coincidence in the same way eating pineapple or spicy curry before going into labour was a coincidence.

By all means have sex but not if you are only doing it to bring on labor!

Good luck.
