I am pregnant with my 4th child, still 1st Trimester but I am looking for peoples experiences regarding a 4th Section.
I had my 1st via emergency section after a very long labour and fetal distress. My 2nd and 3rd we're small for dates babies so I was advised to have elective section. I have no fear of sections I am just curious. Obviously I am not oblivious to the fact that it is major surgery and all surgeries carry their own risks I am just after information on recovery time and peoples personal experiences. I will also be opting to be sterilised after the section has been carried out. All stories welcome.

Thanks for reading Hmm

Hiya, I had my fourth section 6 months ago and was sterilised as soon as baby was out. I was worried as I had complications after my third, lost a lot of blood and had a catheter in for three days as they nicked my bladder, and was worried my fourth would be worse.
But actually, it was my best experience of c sections. Everything was calm and straightforward and the medical team were amazing and very reassuring.
My pain was worse after my fourth but I was up and about still, I just had to stay in hospital two nights as was on morphine suppositries.
In regards to the sterilisation that also went well, I have slightly more painful heavier periods though.
I'm sure everything will be fine. Good luck x

I’ve had 5 sections

First was emcs rest elcs and I had a complication with #2 and #4
Was also sterilised with my fourth section back in 2012. My ds was v ill unexpectedly and in NICU for 8 days. I had no problems physically from sterilisation but emotionally had huge problems so had it reversed and now have a new ds
My third and fifth sections were pretty much pain free and recovery for fifth the easiest by far

Sorry to hear of your daunting experience with #2 and #4 and also your emotional struggles with having streilisation proceedure. It just goes to show that everyone has different outcomes and I appreciate your honesty. These are the kind of answers I am looking for, honest and truthful.

I'm glad #5 went well Smile
