Vitality Pruhealth Insurance Cover for Elective C-Section

Hi all,

Is there anyone out there with corporate Category 1 Vitality Pruhealth Plan who's had an elective C-Section for medical reasons in London?

I am planning on Kensington Wing at CWH and struggle to understand out of £16k total bill how much would insurance cover?

Thanks!

Definitely call the insurance company. For full antenatal and ELCS, I’d add a contingency and estimate £20k (rather than £16k)

KittyKK, I am at the end of pregnancy - so no antenatal other than 2 appts + 2 scans that are already included in £16k. Otherwise - yes, £20K

Hi @flatsearch8 did you end up going privately through Vitality?

I am wondering if it will work for us when our baby is due next year as I will need to have another c-section. I had hoped they would cover everything but, like you, I am struggling to understand what they cover or what 'extras' I will need to have that aren't covered.

Hi, I’m dying to know, what was the result of the insurance claim? How much did they cover you for? Also planning c-sec at C&W.
