Hurry up!

So I am 34+5 with twins. I’ve been told they will be here one way or another by 37 weeks.

I am so over being pregnant now (pain, acid reflux and inability to walk). I want them out now!

I’m excited and scared all at once. I just want it to hurry up! I’ve done childbirth once before so I sort of know what to expect. At least last time I was in a little bubble about how bad the pain would be. I kind of feel like you know something painful is coming and waiting 2 weeks is just prolongling my anxiety.

The wait 2nd time around is way worse than last time. I think especially as it’s twins. I need to go I at the first sign and the hospital is an hour away.

Anyone else in same boat? Just wanting it to happen already?

Hi Lime. Not expecting twins but 37 weeks with my third dc - natural births for dc1 and dc2, then a late loss at 20 weeks where I had to deliver...so this is the fourth time for me and due to my age I will be induced at 39 weeks if nothing happens before then.
I agree, I think the anticipation is not helping; you know the sort of pain that is looming and for me it is anxiety provoking (also all the unpredictability of it and the fact that other people will be caring for my two dcs - we have no lovely extended family, unfortunately). So, I am worrying about the event and worrying about the logistics of it all plus because of my previous loss, I have had enough of the mental anxiety during this pregnancy as well as the physical toll - I am huge this time, gained a lot of weight, breathless and have only just finished my daily injections of fragmin, not to mention the rubbish quality of sleep, I have been getting recently...I could go on but won't.
I too, feel like I need to get to hospital pretty quickly (2nd dc was born in half the time of first dc and I am slightly concerned that dc3 will come along more quickly again). If it's any consolation, dd2's birth was great compared to dd1's birth...wishing you all the best.
