3rd degree tear

I was just wondering how a 3rd degree tear actually heals appearance wise? I am 3 weeks post partum and everyone whose seen my healing tear says it’s healing well and is neat.

I’ve had a look early on ish so I could notice if anything looked like it wasn’t healing.

It’s currently a straight line but like a pink bump of skin the whole way. Does it stay like this? Or is that part of it healing and it goes flat and paler like a normal scar in time?

Just not sure if all the bumpy tissue is here to stay 🤔🤔😳

I also had episiotomy stitched an thats a flat white scar as it appears to have healed well also.

Hi there.
Mine was 2nd degree and I also had a labia tear which took a very long time to heal!
Sounds normal though...
My friend had a very severe tear after having forceps and hers is still slightly tender 2 months later and she says it is all bumpy but has been assured the scar will even itself out and will not stay like that. X
