Can't sleep. Terrified. Anyone out there?

I had an elective section after a traumatic previous birth, retained placenta, post partum haemorrhages and PTSD. I was terrified of going into labour, specifically of my waters breaking, I didn't ever want to feel any of those things ever again and I knew if attempted a vaginal delivery I would flip out.

The elective was just what I needed, it was calm, everyone was lovely, it could not have been any different to my first birth

Sorry! Posted to soon!

Good luck today. Thanks

How did it go OP?

How are you doing OP?

Although if you’re anything like me you are staring at your baby unable to look at MN for about a week.

Well, despite being in the middle of a red weather warning and driving through a bloody blizzard, we made it to the hospital!
And the section was great. Put to sleep under GA, woke up with a baby.
Slightly dramatic when half the midwives couldn't get in, neither could the surgeon, due to the snow and ice. But we are home now after three days in hospital. Totally in love with the new baby.
Thanks everyone as I was really really nervous.

I had a planned section and felt just like you. Unwarranted, mine was great! Hope it all goes well. You'll be snuggling your baby in no time ❤️

Congratulations OP Flowers

Red weather warning will make for a great birth story to tell the LO when he/she gets a bit bigger. Glad it was calm. Enjoy your snuggles Flowers
