Positive second labour stories? Especially ones where they're close together?

I had dd last April. I'm due ds next month.
So dds I was just so ready to have her. She was my first and by that point I was so ready and in the right mind set to plough on through and get on with it. I managed to get to 8cm before I grew tired (24 hours without food, water and sleep by that point) so I has the epidural. Which they wanted to give me anyway as she also grew tired and I was nearly emcs.
So I did it. 14 hours in labour I had her. I cannot remember the pain very well.

But this pregnancy seems to have flown by and he's a big baby. I want to trust my body to do what it has to do but again, I'm worried about the pain and the struggling again if we have to do it that way again.
Any positive stories?

My first was longer than your dc1.
My 2nd - I didn't really feel any painful contractions. Just had a feeling of 'being a bit uncomfortable' then realised it seemed to be coming and going. She just popped out before I could get to the delivery sweet. Labour was about 10mins in my mind. no muscles left after dc1.
2nd labours are traditionally FAR quicker than firsts - even if not quite as dramatic as mine Grin

Ds, first baby- waters went first but had blood in so I had to go to hospital where I went into spontaneous labour. Laboured in hospital for 24 hours but wasn't dilating well so had to have labour augmented with the synto drip. 5, frankly horrific hours later (no epidural, he was back to back) was born. Lots of stitches. I struggled with it for a long time (still do a little bit tbh)

Dd was born 19 months later. Looooong pregnancy with a toddler to look after too, lots of false starts in the last two weeks. Huge contraction at mid night and she was born at 5 am. No tears and an easy recovery. Much more managable!

2nd baby was born 55mins after 1st pain. Simple and fast. No tears or pain relief.
