Elective C Section

Hi, does anyone know how long before your due date you're usually booked in for a section?

Had 2 previous EMCS so this one will be elective

Usually booked for week 39 I think - so no more than a week.

I was told by a friend it's from week 38 x

I had an EMCS with my first. At 36 weeks I was booked in for 39 weeks with my second. I'm due my third soon and was booked in at 32 weeks for 39 again. Booked earlier due to specific anxiety issues this time

It’s recommended no earlier than 39 weeks to reduce the risk of respiratory problems
