Induction - spd

Hey there. I am just wondering if anyone has been induced due to spd? I'm 36 weeks now and I've been going to physio since I was 19 weeks when the spd first began. I am in constant agony with my pelvis, hips, back and bum. I struggle to walk and do simple household chores now and I'm just getting so fed up of the pain and popping paracetamol which doesn't even help! I've fallen twice due to my leg giving way due to the pain and I'm so scared it happens again and I fall on my bump.
Is induction something I can ask for or will the midwife just laugh it off?

I'm only 25 weeks but am housebound due to spd!
Not sure what's going to happen induction wise
But I am on two support groups on Facebook where there are thousands of ladies who are going through or have been through this! Many are induced
If you have Facebook type in SPD and they should come up!
A lot of support and advice there!

Oh wow didn't know they induced because of spd.

Ive had spd with all3 and im pregnant with 4th (12weeks) and can feel it starting as im already getting pain!

MaverickSnoopy · 22/02/2018 15:43

I am pregnant with my 3rd and GP told me this the other day so yes it's a thing.

I wish I had been told or offered this during my first two pregnancies when spd started at 16 and 8 weeks respectively and I was 2 weeks late with both and on crutches! With my first I had no antenatal care in my last month of pregnancy because I couldn't get to them and the kept cancelling home visits.

You need to shout for what you need.

Thank you for all the replies. I am definitely going to ask on tuesday at my next appointment if induction is an option. The pain is unbearable at times and I just feel like i am no longer coping. Really nervous about asking for it though as my midwife can be quite standoffish.

I was induced and gave birth at 38+6 because I was on crutches and in severe pain. They wouldn’t do it before 38 weeks.
