Can I still have a normal birth?

Was just wondering those with multiple inductions. Have you ever ended up having labour start naturally or is it a kind of a rule that the more induction I have the less likely I will end up having labour start naturally. My first came a week late then 2nd and 3rd induction so wondering what I can expect for the the 4th?

My mum did- c section with me due to failed induction, 4 day induction with my sister, 24hr induction with number 3. Natural day before due date with number 4, induction with number 5!

All 4 of mine were induced due to being late 42 weeks was the cut off for homebirth so waited until then.

Well, if you don’t get induced labour will begin naturally. Eventually. If you naturally gestate for longer than you want to wait, then you may well choose another induction. If you prefer to wait, you can choose spontaneous labour.

Thanks all. There seems to be no pattern then?! I always know my conception date but get bumped further along during scans so know realistically those dates are slightly out but still I wouldn’t feel confident making my own decision on carry on further past the 14 days overdue mark plus also have had gradually bigger babies so quite worried about being able to deliver them. However I have very accommodatingly wide hips

My 10lb 6oz baby was as easy as the others (well they were all easier than the first one!) the last one I went from 8cm to delivered 3 contractions, no pushing it just happened!!!

Where I live we have a dedicated homebirth team. We also have antenatal groups which allow mums to meet who are having or have had homebirths. There seem to be quite a few of mums who are midwives themselves having babies at home. To me that says a lot. I know I am upset about no longer fitting a safe criteria for homebirth
