I have a 'friend' on an antenatal group on another website (babyworld ) who is 'thinking of going it alone' as her DP doesn't want to be there (ie he'd need more looking after than she would LOL), has 'thought' about a Doula - but can't afford one/says there's none in her area.
Now I know when I was looking for a Doula I got some fantastic help on here finding a trainee who was willing to help me out.
I've told her that there's a hardship fund........so now I've said I'll see if any of you wonder Doula's "with contacts" know of any Doula's/Trainees around Crewe (Cheshire) or who would be willig to travel that far.
I'm presuming if she had help from the Hardship fund she's only going to be able to afford to pay another £50 or so.........
So - can you help me help her out???
(oh and she's 33 weeks pg) so not very long until DD.
