Vaginal swelling after 12 weeks

Hi. I have birth to my daughter 12 weeks ago by vaginal birth, only used gas and air and had 3 stitches afterward.

I am not in pain anymore, but have some swelling inside my vagina still, it is a swollen sphere, kinda like piles. It doesn't hurt, but I can feel it when walking.

The GP saw it at my 8 week checkup and thinks that it had to do with the way they stitched me up (but, a very slim chance that it could be prolapse). She wanted me to wait and see for a month and then go back.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Did the swelling go down? I will see the gp again, but am curious about others experiences.

Thanks.
