Hi lovely people,

I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant with baby number 7 but I last gave birth 19 (nearly 20) years ago so what happens at the time of birth (I last went in at 1cm) and stayed there is this still the same , plus I had to bring in everything expect a few nappies is this the same still ?

Plus I would love a water birth but I’m worried because of my age and because of how many babies I have previously had would this be the case I’m healthy , normal bmi but I’ll be 38 by the time they arrive ?

Any advice would be great ?

You'll need to take everything in now, clothes, nappies, cream, bottles and milk and steriliser if not breastfeeding. If you have a normal/good/standard birth they'll likely not keep you overnight.

I have to ask: you had 6 babies by the time you were 18?! Or am I reading that wrong?

You should be fine with a birthing pool. I don't think they class you as an older mum till you're over 40 now. (Although you may well have one even if you are).

Wow! Triplets?

Congrats on baby #7!

Definitely take everything in.

I’d advise covering all bases in your birth plan if you’re hoping for a natural or water birth. Put in epidural etc if you think there’s the slightest chance you might want it because if not, the midwife will quite strongly try to help you stick to your “plan”.

I’m curious about 6 under 3?
