Currently in so much pain and no idea what to do - I don't wanna wake everyone up in case it's another false alarm but for the past hour I've been getting an intense burning feeling around my lower tummy/back that keeps coming and going in waves and it's so so sore Sad

I'm 39+5 and have never had a baby before so I don't know what contractions even feel like, if these pains are even the start of them. It feels like a muscular kind of burning but when it's at its worst I can't breathe and feel really sick. Should I try time these pains? I'm not sure what to do at all but it definitely hurts too much to sleep Confused

Yes.....sounds very much like contractions. Good luck. Hope all goes smoothly. Yes to timing them. Also hive labour ward a call so they know things are happening.

I think so too. Lots have pains in their back for contractions which I think makes people doubt themselves because that’s not where you’d initially think they’d be!

Definitely wasn't expecting all the pain to be in my back, was having period cramps on/off last week so I expected it to feel similar to that!

Thanks, I'll start timing them and see if there's a kind of pattern, call the hospital, and also wake my mum up for a hug. I'm terrified Blush

Natural to be scared. You got this though. Youre already doing it. Glad you can get a hug

Don't be! Just start practicing breathing with the pains to stay in control. Breath in for 4 and out for 4. When they get worse, breath in for 4 and out for 8. Try and relax and let your body do the work.

I'm 39+4 and a little envious.
