39 weeks - questions about whether I'm having any twinges

Hi- don't know if this is a reasonable thing to get a bit annoyed about or whether I need to chill..... I'm 39+4 and I have two family members who ask every couple of days, by phone or text, whether I am having any 'twinges' yet. It's really bugging me as it's been going on for at least a week. We don't plan to tell people when I go into labour as we don't want to the have everyone worrying and having to keep people updated. We just want to focus on having the baby.

I keep responding to these family members along the lines that we'll let them know when there is something to tell.

Is this type of question normal? Should I just chill out about it? I know they're just excited but a 'how are you?' seems so much more appropriate and easier to respond to.....

I think everybody probably feels the same as you at this stage! We also made the decision not to tell anybody I was in labour, as didn't want loads of texts. Good luck, hope everything goes ok.

I think it's normal to feel like that OP. By the time i was around 38 weeks my mobile was going constantly and people were texting at ridiculous times of the mornjng when i was trying to sleep.MIL actually asked when I seen the midwife on my due date why I hadn't been booked in to be induced yet
It's hard because you know everyone is excited and it's nice that they care but it was really really irritating I was actually crying to dp about it one night
