Tiredness at 39+3 weeks

Hi All,

Just wondering if this is normal and would like some advice. I’m due in 4 days and for the past 2 days I have been extremely tired, to the point where I’ve slept all day, got up for a few hours and then gone to bed again at night and slept until morning. My appetite has gone down the toilet and when I do eat it just seems to make me even more tired. Is this a sign labour is near? I’m at FTM, I was engaged 3/5 a week ago and I get a lot of pressure ‘down there’ along with ‘lightening crotch’. Any advice please??

I'm 40+4 and I've been absolutely bone-deep exhausted for about 3 weeks now. Can't get out of bed/off the couch. So I wouldn't say it's necessarily a sign of impending labour, but I'm sure it's completely normal. Our bodies are powering a fully grown human baby, after all.

Fingers crossed you've not got long left!

I am 35+4 and this has come on since Boxing Day. I also have three other children, oldest is 6, so might be something to do with that 🙄

I would say very likely your body getting ready. Exciting!

I am exactly the same at the mo. I'm 38+6.
Sleeping for hours at night then having several naps in the day. I saw midwife today who didn't seem too concerned but thought I could be anaemic. I'm having a section on Thursday so have got blood tests tomorrow that will pick anaemia up if that's the case.
