Lost some mucus plug - how long have I got?

I know, I know, how long is a piece of string!

I’m due a c-section early jan. Will be having a section if baby comes sooner too, so need to rush up hospital when I’m in labour.
I’ve got a lot of water so am at risk of cord prolapse so need to rush to hospital if waters go.

Google tells me I have between hours and a few days.

If you lost your plug how long was it before you were in proper labour?

wander that’s exactly what I’ve just said to DH. I want to see DS’s face in the morning. Have just taken a bite of the carrot and mince pie, sipped the milk, filled his stocking. I really don’t want to miss it! Would much prefer she didn’t come for a few days yet but if she has to come tomorrow, let me see his face and enjoy the morning. Don’t want to miss it.
No hosting for us, going to PIL who live 5mins away.

glittery I made it!! I hope you did too. Now that Christmas is over though, the next thing to happen will actually be the baby.... Last day as a family of three tomorrow. Officially going to start shitting myself. Can't quite decide if I like the baby being scheduled in or if being taken a bit by suprise is actually better!!

In a hilarious (!) turn of events, my waters went at just gone midnight. Section has been bought forward to today!!

DS1 - lost it Christmas Day, 3 weeks before due date - ended up being evicted 9 days overdue

DS2 - lost it at 34 or 35 weeks , never lost it again, he came out 1 week late

Lost my plug on a Wednesday after a particularly thorough sweep! Baby born on the Saturday by EMCS as I wasn't progressing once active labour began on the Friday.

Baby arrived just before midday. Had a lovely calm section, a bit sore now but hey the section itself was actually really nice.
