I had my dd2 3 weeks ago and my scar hasn't healed. I think it's infected if I'm honest. I've been taking antibiotics for something else and thought maybe it would clear up because they're broad spectrum. We've been signed off by the midwife. So would it be a gp appointment? Is it something they'd see as an emergency/same day appointment or would I have to wait. I don't feel unwell. It's just not healing and is red and sore and generally a bit yuck.

Yes to both. If no luck at gp try phoning maternity unitvfor advice.

I’d go to your GP, same thing happened to me and was seen the same day. Congrats on your Dd Flowers

Ah awesome. I'm one of those people that hates phoning the doctors I never feel like I'm poorly enough if you get what I mean!

I'll give them a bell in the morning. Failing that I'll try the advice line though will they still help if I've been signed off by the midwife?

Thank you! She's hard work with colic and reflux but utterly worth it. My dd2 adores her as do I and my dh

Do speak to your GP - better safe than sorry. But just wanted to reassure you that my c-section wound was like you described for 6 weeks (and oozing in places), but turned out to be fine - not infected, just happened to be slow to heal. It healed properly by around 8 weeks.

My scar went a bit iffy in a couple of places. I cleaned it with (very) diluted tea tree oil, then dried with a hairdryer on the cool setting to make sure it was really dry with having to rub. It cleared it up nicely. But yes ask the GP.

I was seen by the GP the same day when I thought my scar was infected. Hope it's better soon.
