Labour

39+2 weeks, 1cm dilated. Had a membrane sweep today which has given me a lot of lower back pain, strong braxton hicks and a bloody show (sorry if tmi) this morning when I woke up I had very loose BM and cramps. Has anyone else had a sweep and gone into labour the same day? I'm very excited but also terrified since I'm home alone tonight 😁😁

Following - good luck! All sounds very promising!

I have a sweep tomorrow at 39+4 - second baby, first was a 4 day induction that ended with EMCS at 40+9 (had 2 failed sweeps with that pregnancy, so I’m not holding my breath!)

I had one yesterday at 39+1. Gave me lower back pain, BH, and heavy crotch, no bleeding or mucous though. This morning everything feels normal again. I'm having another in Thursday, hopefully things will be more favourable. I think they only work when your body is on the brink of labour.

My area won’t do a sweep till you’re 40 weeks. I’m 40 weeks tomorrow, I just want to have the baby already.

Oh wow! Congratulations! I had mine yesterday, have a heavy feeling below, lost a tiny bit of mucus stuff and had back ache - got another on Monday. Hopefully this will have at least slightly kick started things and next week will push them a bit further!
