Hypnobirthing... Is it worth it??

I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant with dc2.

With DD I was induced at 42weeks. My labour was relatively short (12hrs) but I felt completely out of control and ended up with forceps as she was back to back. Honestly, I completely lost the plot!

I'm terrified about doing it all again! I've heard good things about hypnobirthing, but not sure my DH really buys into the idea... Just wondered if anyone has had any experiences positive or negative?? Has anyone self taught or gone to classes??

Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

It did nothing really for my 1st birth- but it did help with some of the procedures that occurred afterwards and keeping positive and calm for.
I found it took a lot of practice (which I wasn't very good at) and I found that who ever is your birthing partner needs to be very well-in tune with it... which mine wasn't on the day.
My 2nd birth- it completely didn't work at all!!!!!! It was a fast and furious and I was obsessed that it wasn't working.

I think it worth trying- but like everything it's not for everyone.
