Latent labour and DTD

First baby, 40+8. DP and I dtd last night 7pm which I believe started my labour. I had painful but irregular contractions which fizzled out at 3am, when I admitted defeat and went to bed :(

This morning there's no sign of contractions yet, but a painful pelvic pressure that goes on and off (I phoned the birthing centre and they explained about latent labour)

At my last sweep on Tuesday I was 2cm, but membranes were intact and my waters still haven't went.

My question is, can we dtd to maybe kick start things off again?

Yes if you are confident your waters haven't gone

(Gahhh duplicate thread and I don't know which one I reported to be deleted 🙈)

Waters 100% haven't gone, I've been wearing a pad since my last sweep just in case. Thanks, sex and a long walk it is!

I had two sweeps, 2cms at each. I swear clary sage oil in the bath gave me contractions each time, as with the sexy time haha

Midwives had to break my waters because I hadn't progressed from 4cm for 4 hours. Took codine which sent me up the wall, but now have the epidural and I'm in heaven :)
