Channel 4 is making a documentary about maternity care in Britain. The programme will look at the pressures on maternity units in the light of claims by the Royal College of Midwives that the NHS needs a further 10,000 midwives, and explore how shortages impact on the patient experience. We?d like to talk to women who are due to give birth during the next three weeks (ideally between the 18th of April and 7th of May)and have concerns about the how the shortages will impact on them and their families. Initially, we are keen to have an off-the-record chat with women, which will be treated in confidence, with no commitment necessary. If you think you can help, please email [email protected] as soon as possible
