Heavy sharp feeling in rectum

Hi I’m 37+1 today with my second DC and for the last couple of days I’m having really sharp spasm like pains around my back passage, I know that my baby is face down but back to back, apparently not engaged though. I am in agony, has anyone else suffered this? I’m also getting more frequent BM’s, I’m so fed up

It's probably just your body getting ready for labour. I had something similar. Could you have a warm bath and see if that eases it. If you're really uncomfortable phone your midwife.

@John did you go into labour soon after these pains? I never had them with my first I wish the baby would move off the nerves, I can’t help but yelp everytime I move off a chair/toilet/bed

It was a couple of days. I did feel better after taking some lactulose though!

Do you have piles? Could be internal or external. They cause me a similar pain!
