I know that the show can be on the day of, or a week + before labour, but I got mine this morning so pretty excited! 39+6. In general my body has always been pretty speedy and efficient at things if that makes sense (sounds rather strange but it's true. No messing around with periods for example, starts fast, super strong cramps and done) so I'm a bit hopeful.

Has anyone gone into labour within a day of their show for their first baby?

I had a show during early labour with my 1st, not before. The other 2 I didn't have one (that I was aware of) and with this pregnancy I've had a bits n pieces kind of show since a sweep on Thursday but still no labour! I'm 41wks today.

I have my show on the Saturday but nothing happened and I was induced 12 days overdue on the Tuesday I was really excited and thought it was all going to happen! Not being negative but you might have time yet!

I went into labour immediately when I had my shows and my dc were born 9 hours later. My waters didn't break with my labours though so the MW did it at the hospital.

Nostalgic as I was just about to start Mat leave this time last year! I had my show 4 days before I went into labour... glad it's all going relatively quickly for you!

He arrived at 750pm on Tuesday. Went into hospital at 3pm, only 3cm but asked them to stay as pain so intense. Waters suddenly broke as I got to my room, went from 3-7cm in an hour and he arrived after 2h40 of active labour! Very intense and scary (for me)- felt out of control and no time for pain relief but all happy and healthy and home. That excitement over my show feels like years ago!!!
