This is one of the key points for me. Sometimes intervention is for the best. We need to stop fetishising ‘nature’ and appreciate that modern medicine saves lives.

The first experiences of motherhood would be much more positive for most of us if there was less competitiveness and less judgement about other people’s choices or needs, usually with the judger having limited information. It’s anxiety inducing enough without all of that, which can detract from enjoying your wonderful little baby.
