Hello.

My sister had a heart scan for the baby and on her notes it says lost beats (8) is this cause for concern?
She has limited movements , but he is moving.

Any advice would be great.

Thank you in advance

I really don't know. Surely I feel she had a heart scan the consultant will have explained the situation? Or did she just have a midwife doing a Doppler? Is that what you mean?

I’m not sure what it means sorry but I’m sure she would have been told if it was a cause for concern.

Was a heart scan. They didnt say anything. She has seen it on the paperwork

Do you mean the heat beat is irregular?

Mummyme87 · 08/10/2017 07:44

If it's an ultrasound scan I have no idea, if it was CTG monitoring baby's heartbeat it sounds like loss of contact which happens when baby moves for example

SoPassRemarkable · 08/10/2017 16:09

Possibly sounds like ectopic heartbeats which aren't a cause for concern in Utero and 99% spontaneously resolve following birth. Of the small number which don't again for the majority it's not an issue. I have ectopic heartbeats and don't notice them, it's only been picked up incidentally.
