Hi all,

Currently only 8 weeks into my second pregnancy and seriously considering a home birth. Haven't really done any research yet but just wanted to hear some real life experiences of it, good or bad. Also was there anything you wish you'd done differently or any thing you wish you'd had but didn't.
Also our DS1 will be almost 3 when baby is due. When I briefly spoke to midwife about the possibility of home birth at my booking appointment she thought it would be great as our son would be able to stay with us. I'm not sure I agree with this as I'm worried he'd be upset if I was very vocal and I don't want to scare him! Obviously we'd arrange for a family member to be here to look after him. Would be great to read your thoughts/experiences on this too.
Thanks in advance and looking forwards to hearing your stories Smile

Ok thank you. I've not really used mumsnet before so not really sure how it works properly.

I had two home births following a very clinical first birth. Absolutely the most amazing experiences. It wad wonderful to be in my own environment. My 14 month old was at the birth of the 3rd baby and our only problem was him wanting to get into the birth pool! Such an incredibly experience.

It's fine to ask anything you like, but something like birth stories takes quite a long time to type out so sometimes you have more luck with a search. Or at least quicker info.
