Lower back pain after birth

I had my second baby over 10 weeks ago. Straight forward VB. Quick labour and no afterpains etc. Actually felt amazing as soon as she was out. Rewind 4 years previous. I was induced after waters broke with my first baby and failed to progress. My baby was never engaged or low as was sitting breech whole pregnancy and was supposed to be section. When waters broke baby turned so proceeded for natural birth.

Since my first birth I have had excruciating lower back pain on my spine where the pelvic bone meets. I am pretty sure it is muscular. When I was pregnant with second the pain totally disappeared. Now it has come back worse than before 🙁

Has anyone else had this and how have you got rid of it? Is this a result of my body not being ready for birth but forced to birth re induction. Could this have caused the damage? Do you think the relaxin in my body stopped the pain in the second pregnancy? I saw an orthopaedic surgeon a few years ago and he said that is was a small hernia and should go on it's own. Surely with this much pain that ibuprofen doesn't help must be something else... Any ideas?

No amount of rest or excercise/stretches makes any difference.
