Clean up after home water birth?

Maybe a stupid question but how do you empty the pool? What happens to all the floaty bits? Really considering having my baby at home in a hired pool but this bit is putting me off.

My husband dealt with it, but if i recall, he syphoned off the water using a hosepipe, then dragged the liner and 'floaty bits' outside. There was no mess (and he is not the cleanest/tidiest worker). Highly recommend a home birth in water - had both mine that way.

I hired a pool and it came with two sieves and the hose had a pump to get the water straight out into the drains.

Didn't use it for birth in the end as we didn't fill it in time but I had a lovely big bath the following evening!
Good luck OP
