Tips from Hypnobirthing

Can anyone pass on any tips from their hypnobirthing classes? I have been doing pregnancy yoga where I have learnt lots of breathing techniques, however never took up hypnobirthing - now at 39 weeks I'm wondering if anyone has any tips from their lessons.

I just used the maggie howell book and cd, the main thing that I got from it was controlled breathing, focusing on breathing through the pain. Also reminding myself that each contraction bought me closer to meeting my DD, that the pain would stop at some point and things like that. It was staying calm through breathing though that really helped me.

Just let your body do what it's doing. Your brain can do nothing. Allow yourself to feel, stay in tune with your body but don't try to control anything.

I was absolutely amazed at how my body gave birth. It was involuntary. I literally did nothing

Relax your jaw - a clenched jaw tenses everything else up.
