Waters can go at anytime and are not indicative to being in labour . Many women's waters can go without being in active labour . I'll ask againn op were you dilated when they examined you in hospital ?

Bekkygirl92 · 27/08/2017 17:35

If you were in full throws of labour you would not be mumsnetting so either your in early labour or not at all - good luck op and whatever happens I wish you a safe , happy delivery

Mumof41987 · 27/08/2017 17:40

I had full blown text conversations during my first two labours

crazypenguinlady · 27/08/2017 17:59

So exciting! I went into labour 6 months ago today (forewaters went at 7.30pm then contractions started about 10.30ish) my son was born at 5am the next morning Smile

Good luck!

Mumof41987 · 27/08/2017 19:58

A fresh start I know this . Having worked as a midwife for 12 years . However Iv yet to see a woman mumsnetting in full blown labour unless she had an epidural . I'm not saying it doesn't happen as anything is possible . I wish op well and look forward to her birth announcement

Congratulations OP!

mum I packed my hospital bag and made a pot of tea for my next door neighbour. Who was babysitting my eldest for me, whilst in the throws of labour. Pootled off to the hospital and gave birth less than an hour later! We're all different.
