False labour/ tummy upsets past 40 wks

Am fed up as 40 wks + 6 with DC2, amd DC1 was induced at 42 wks, but this time I really want a home birth. Had a couple of nights, about a week apart, when I think early labour has begun as I get nausea, mild diarrhoea, painful cramps, back ache & mild period like pains and v strong braxton hicks. Last night was the worst & I really thought this is it! But then after a few hours it all stops & I eventually go back to sleep. Don't know if it's a bad case of indigestion or a warm up for labour, but just really want the real thing to get going!!

I could have written your post, I am exactly the same! 40 + 1 here. DC2 for me too, and I really thought last night was finally it. Really strong tightenings and pains. Got up and then... nothing. So frustrating. I don't remember it being so stop start last time.

I also had a show, two weeks ago! But midwife said it can go back, and clearly in my case was not the start of labour. Arrgghhh!!!

Fingers crossed that it won't be long for either of us.

This is me too... except FTM. Lost my whole plug yesterday and had cramps/contractions/back pain for days but nothing progresses. Really fed up now! Please post when your babies are here and give me hope!

@Disneybump After a sweep on 31st, my baby boy arrived seven hours later! Labour was really fast (two hours!). It won't be long for you now, those are all signs your body is gearing up for birth.

My little one, asleep on his daddy this morning.

Good luck xx

Thank you @Archip17

My waters went later that night but I had a really traumatic birth when her head got stuck and she had to be an emergency C section. It upset me quite a lot because I was really frightened but it's so good to finally have her here
