how long between having a 'show' and labour starting?

Hi, just wondered really.
I have just had one ,I think, and although I've had babies already I've never been aware of having a show before . So, it's quite exciting really! I'm already 11 days over so I guess it can't be all that long,

Well with me it was 32 hours after my show that ds was born.

11 days over!!!!!!!!! I would think you were due for labour any minute hun! Have they tried to induce?

I've had 2 sections, so they can't. Actually I'm quite happy to wait the way I've waited before

I had a show, lots of it but never went into labour. had to be induced cos so overdue. Why can't you be induced after 2 sections??

straight away. all happened at once for me, waters went, had huge show, all with an enormous first contraction.

Manuka, it's because induced labours tend to be more violent on the uterus, so putting stress on the scar site and giving a greater likelihood of rupture.

I had a show and started contractions immediately (still was another 26 hours before I held LO though )

Nothing yet, getting more irregular cramps I guess. Think a bit more show came away in the night. This waiting is pretty tedious 12 days over now!

My show came on the Sunday night, and kept coming all day Monday. I went into labour at 4am Tuesday, by 5.30 there he was! So could be any time...

I never had a show before so was very excited to have one too! Meant I COULD go into labour all by my big self!

My 1st Labour started 2 days after show, and my 2nd labour started the day I had a show. Goodluck, and hope its not long now!!

I think it can be up to a week between a show and the onset of labour. I would start gobbling the raspberry leaf tea tablets and rest whenever you can, as it will all kick off soon. Good luck!!
