34 weeks, losing my mucus plug? (TMI sorry!)

Just that really, think I may have lost or be losing it. Had a bit of snotty discharge the last couple of days but only a bit, but been to the toilet just now and there was quite a lot, like someone had sneezed (this is so grim am sorry!) but quite thick. Is that what it would be like? And if it is potentially that, what shall I do?

Sounds like it.
Do nothing!!

Shows can go and refill and go again.

At 34 weeks only worry if you start to have any proper signs of labour, contractions or waters or any active bleeding.

Could well be! When I lost my plug I KNEW without doubt I had lost it iyswim. Was a holy fuck moment in my kecks. I went in to labour the next day as I was full term but plugs can grow back. Just pay extra attention to your body for a few days and any little twinges get onto triage straight away.

I had the same at 35 weeks, but with a tiny amount of light pink blood and my son was born about 8 hours later! I would call your midwife and see what they suggest, they might want you to come in and be checked out, it can't hurt to call! Good luck xx

I lost mine at 34 weeks with DC1 and it took me off guard, too! All ended up being well. I went into labour spontaneously at 40+1.

Thanks all, all been well over night, no more loss but will keep an eye!

I would call the midwife to be on the safe side. Be very aware of any twinges/period like pain so you can go in for a steroid shot if needed.

At 34 weeks I was losing snotty stuff (🤢😤). I still went over my due date. It re builds itself I believe!

wirrinboffin · 24/08/2017 21:19

Definitely give your midwife a call and ask for advice. Take it easy and rest up. Lost my plug at 34+1, and was the start of a very slow labour - son was born at 35 weeks. (All good BTW).

MrsGB2225 · 29/08/2017 14:23

What happened in the end OP?

Mandraki · 29/08/2017 14:50

MrsGb2225 nothing! Still pregnant, not losing mucus anymore. Must have just been a bit or rebuilds like people have been saying. No baby for us just yet!

I lost a few little bits over the weeks before I went into labour. On the morning I went into labour I lost a lot of plug, like loads, and I went into labour 12 hours later at 38 weeks.
