Preeclampsia induction ?

Hi there never posted before so please bare with me if I'm not down with all the lingo

Basically I was taken into the hospital over the weekend due to severe swelling and migraines.
The doctors tested urine and blood both weren't looking great and my blood pressure was very high - and it looked like my kidneys were under a bit of stress.
The next day they diagnosed me with early pre eclampsia.
The doctor did a cervical exam to check how soft the neck of my womb was etc and she could feel the babies head! They sent me home for two night and I'm back in today for more tests

What are the chances of them inducing me ? I'm now 37 + 1 ? Also is there anyway I can prompt them to induce me ? I'm worried sick about my babies health and would rather they just got him out before things get worse ?

Thank you in advance !

As you're now technically at term I'd be surprised if they didn't induce you. I was diagnosed with pre eclampsia at 35+4 and induced the next day. Hope all goes well for you.

I had pre eclampsia at 35 weeks (although had been in hospital with high blood pressure from 24 weeks so no surprise there!) and was induced the next day. Ds was small but basically fine.

Good luck!

Thank you ! X

I suspect this won't matter as you're probably being induced right now, but in case not: yes, they can and should induce you ASAP. Good luck! Anecdotally, people with blood pressure problems seem to get on and deliver quite quickly Smile
