Hi everyone, we've recently discovered we're expecting our second child, hooray! Following the initial joy and excitement, I'm now beginning to worry about the birth, and with good reason. My daughter's birth 3 years ago at a local NHS hospital was horrific for a whole multitude of reasons. To be honest, we're lucky to be alive. Just for starters, they got the anaesthetic wrong during the c section. I can't even begin to describe the pain and horror.
I am very keen to avoid a repeat performance so hoping to pay for a c section privately so that I will know exactly who the surgeon, anaesthetist etc are beforehand. I'm keen to hear from anyone who has gone down this route and to know if there are any locations near Cardiff, plus and approximate costs. Grateful for any insight you can offer to this anxious mum.
