Overdue?!

Please be gentle with me as this is my first post?!

I am due today with DC 2..I'm slowly driving myself insane!..is anyone else due or overdue about now?..I feel like this baby has no intentions of ever making an appearance Confused

I had DD at 41 weeks but she was 9lb 11oz so I was hoping this one would come along on time or possibly a day or so early. No plans for induction due to size as I had a relatively straight forward birth last time (despite her size and being back to back!).

Looking for some other lovely ladies or partners with ladies who are in the same boat! Will these babies ever arrive?!

Also would love some cheerful second time birth stories to counteract the stream of people telling me to expect to go over as I did last time and to expect an even bigger baby.

I had an earlier and smaller baby the second time, AND he was a faster and less painful birth. That's all the positives right?

Yes that's just the sort of thing I was hoping to hear..fingers crossed some positivity might help this baby move along a little and arrive bang on time today!

Hi waiting - can I please wait with you? I am 40+3 with DC2 - I was induced with DC1 at 41+5 so shouldn't be surprised that DC2 is also dragging his/her heels!

I am booked in for an ELCS on Weds as DC2 is measuring big (and I ended up having an EMCS with DC1) but it honestly feels like years away and I am symptom spotting like mad!! Today I have felt as though my hips/pelvis are going to split open at regular intervals and have been incredibly cranky (poor DH!) but haven't had any indication that things are going to get started any time soon.

Sigh.

Come on in zig, join my pitty party Grin

Awww at least you know by weds your little one will be here!..I'm paranoid about my waters breaking, with DD my waters broke 24 hours before I went into labour so I've been expecting the same this time but no sign!..I keep shouting DH and saying "I think I'm leaking" and it's either baby sitting on my bladder or completely imaginary.

I feel for you with your hips, mine are similar but as this one is back to back like my DD I'm feeling the worst of it on my spine!

I believe an ELCS is supposed to be much better than an EMCS so I hope it's a smooth one for you when Wed finally comes round.

Thanks waiting - and I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is cranky, I honestly feel so awful when DH and the rest of my family are being so lovely and I am in a permanent grump Blush

Eek - I can see why you are worried about your waters breaking and I have also had a few moments where I have thought it has happened to me. Mine only broke with DC1 after three attempts by the midwife so haven't experienced them going "naturally" (and not sure if I want to!)

Really hope baby doesn't keep you waiting too long and that your poor spine isn't suffering too much, I can imagine a back to back baby would be very uncomfortable. Feel free to post any updates/new symptoms! It definitely helps with the waiting game hearing from others going through it too Smile

I share the pain. I'm 41+1 with induction booked on Tuesday. Getting very fed up and impatient. Would really love to avoid it but doubt he'll come anytime soon. And here was me thinking that my second would come naturally Grin
Have been having contractions on and off for a few days, bloody show/mucus plug and loose bowel movements, but the contractions aren't sticking so looks like I will be induced again
