Has anybody else found, that they gained more weight after being pregnant than they did pregnant !? I'd only put on about 16lb while pregnant if actual body fat (after the first few weeks once my water had gone) but now he's nearly 9weeks I look like a sack of spuds!! I'd lost the weight and now pretty much back to how I was the day I had him, except I look worse I think ?? Is there an actual reason for this because it seems to be common?

Absolutely! I was just 9 stone when I found out I was pregnant and just before LO was born I was 10stone. I lost over 3/4 stone while pregnant due to sickness. LO is now 9 months old and I weigh 10.5! Some days I could be mistaken for being 5 months pregnant! I take a daily 2 hour walk. I think it was down to not being able to do any exercise at all for the first 4 months (EMCS which resulted in torn muscles and then sepsis)
I hope I can walk it off soon!

So you think it's more just a case of generally not being able to do as much as before being pregnant ?? Not anything to do with any post birth hormones? Just kind of trying to make myself feel better here 😂 that the weight will drop off once hormones have gone since I don't have time to go the gym and he's only sleeping 2 hours at a time so couldn't go the gym anyway or I'd burn myself out xx

I piled on weight during breastfeeding. Inactivity really and the milk production never seemed to take the weight off: in fact, felt like that my body had to gain the extra weight in order to produce the milk if that makes sense. Totally unfair. It came off pretty quickly once I stopped breastfeeding. Odd.
