Period like pain

I'm 39+1 day and I've a few what I think are Braxton hicks and this morning have woken up with period type cramping. At my last app baby was 4/5th engaged, I've had no bleeding or mucus yet. Anyone else experience this?

Thought I'd give glyph am update; my contractions got too 3 mins apart (whoo) last night so went back in as I got instructed but the pain and pacing had done nothing!! I was still in the position. So new midwife did another sweep at about half 10 last night and still no waters or show. But still plenty of quick contractions.

Please don't pin your hopes on a show or waters going.

In all 4 of my births, my waters only went just before birth, pop then baby.
And only had a show with number 3.

Good luck and either sleep if you can or keep moving .

You'll be happy to know that I had a little at 12.44am yesterday morning!! My waters broke at half 10 on Monday morning and she 44 mins after her due date. And we were the talk of the birthing suite..... an unexpected natural breech birth!!! Not quite what we planned but everything is okay and we are at home learning about each other
