Hi everyone. I am in need of some help :) as I can't have children, I am looking into IVF. Does anyone here have an average price for IVF? I'm new to this so I have no clue. My friend used www.reproductivehealthgroup.co.uk/ and suggested them to me however I wanted to ask around before rushing into things. Has anyone heard of these or used any other companies that were good? Thanks guys :)

Are you able to have ivf through NHS?

Hi oliviat00,

You're looking at between £5,000 and £8,000 for one round depending on where you live and what treatment you need.
It should only cost between £3,000 and £5,000 I believe but clinics make money. Professor Winston keeps alerting patients about this but clinics still offer non-essential treatments.
www.robertwinston.org.uk/subject/fertility/

I had 3 rounds (1 private, 2 on NHS) with ICSI. The private round cost around £8,000 4 years ago in south London.
Has the problem been identified and would you like to conceive on your own? The main reason for assisted conception (using ICSI, using donor gametes etc) will guide the cost.
Do you know if you can have a round on the NHS, how long the waiting list is and if you qualify (non-smoker, good BMI etc)?

I went overseas for ivf cost £3500 it would have been £6k in the U.K. (All costs Including all travel, drugs etc).

Our cheapest cycle was about 6k including drugs and donor sperm, this was 4 years ago in London. The most recent 18months ago was nearer 10k, I needed a more expensive drug regime and some extra testing, this was on the south coast.
Have a look at access fertility, they offer multi cycle packages with some UK clinics that work out cheaper if you need more than one cycle, obviously you can pay over the odds if it works first time though.....
