Does anyone know of a website with data relating to second pregnancies?

I was very reluctantly induced last time at 42 weeks (it meant i couldnt go to the midwife run birthing unit i had my heart set on and would like to use this time) and am interested to know just how much more likely i am to be induced this time than someone who wasnt induced last time. Also i believe it is not true that second babies tend to come earlier than first babies but as people keep on quoting that to me i wanted to look up what the facts are. I have spent hours on google and come up with nothing. anyone out there know anything or any links i can look at? (I know baby will come when baby wants to come but this is just an intellectual exercise to keep me sane whilst i wait!)

what applies to someone else won;t apply to you !! it is hard, isn;t it...you just want someone to say, baby will be born at 41 + 5 after a 4 hour labour , and all will be fine

you might need to be pregnant for 42 weeks, if not longer !! did your induction end with a vaginal delivery?

I have no stats but, dd1 8 days late, dd2 11 days late, ds1 11 days late, dd3 21 days late. Mine all got later!

I had a very very fast spontaneous unplanned home birth labour with DS, but because of various complications will have to be induced this time around. Being a bit of an old hippy when it comes to these things I'm fairly freaked out, but everyone tells me that inductions for second births are much more succesful than with first-timers. I think the stats are something like 50% of first time inductions end in C-sections and only 10% of second birth inductions. Hope this reasure you a bit. If you really want to get things moving but avoid induction I'm told accupuncture works really well and doesn't upset the natural sequence of things.
