Caesarean or natural delivery?

I'm looking for the pros and cons of having a vaginal birth vs a Caesarean section, preferably from Mums who may have experienced both.

Just for the record, having had one CS does not automatically mean that all following deliveries need to be CSs.
It depends entirely on whether the reason for the first CS is likely to be a factor again in a further pregnancy.

I had great VBACs.
And I had expected that I would need to 'fight' for being 'allowed' to labour and I didn't at all. My consultant was v happy to go with my preference. And that was 9+ years ago, I gather that momentum to give women an informed choice in their planned mode of delivery has increased since then.
