Hormone drip...

So this afternoon my waters went. Had mild contractions that seem to be slowing down, so they said in a few hours if nothing happens they'll put me on a hormone drip, and being a previous section they won't give me a pessary. What is people's experience with this? I was induced with my DD and ended up being emergency section, wanted a vbac this time but haven't heard good things about the hormone drip...

Hey @alicelake I had my waters broken and drip after 5 days of unsuccessful induction. They recommended I have epidural at same time due to contractions being awful with it, which I accepted as I was quite open to what they suggested. I hardly felt anything until it came to pushing and it took 5.5 hours start to finish with an episiotomy which healed nicely and quickly with stitches (DS was 9lb 3oz they were worried he would get stuck)

I consider mine a good birth! Not all horror stories! Good luck xx
